Skull Appreciation Day Blog Hop

What fun it has been participating in my very first blog hop! As the title suggests, the theme is skulls - and here is my project, "The Skull Beneath My Skin Bangle"

I inked an MDF heart in blood red (because the heart can still beat when the brain is dead) then used Cheetah Sheen Cloisonne around the edges. The skull image is a free one I sourced from the internet (sorry, I forget where) then I printed the words which were inspired by a T.S. Eliot quote; stuck those down and Diamond glazed the surface before finally scattering some red micro beads here and there.

The red ink bleeding through the skull image was not intentional, but I like it!

Originally, I intended the project to be a brooch and I had planned to glue a pin to the back...but while playing around I had a notion that it would be cool on a black leather string as a necklace...but then I happened to glance upon this bangle and VOILA! the completed project was in my mind's eye :)

Thankyou for looking, and enjoy the other projects in the hop - I know I will!

Here is the hop list
