Shiver Me Timbers

Here's my entry for the Bombshells Blog Hop, posted a day early to make sure I'm not sleeping when everyone else in the US is awake and hopping! Unfortunately I don't own the Pirate stamps set, so I needed to get creative using Bombshell stamps I do own - which is why you see the pretty Rose wearing a pirate hat and watching over 2 of my beautiful children in costume for youngest son's pirate party at home a few years back. I do like to decorate thematically in real life, so besides the treasure hunts and ocean type food (fish burgers and sushi with salad and chocolate coins, lol) my husband drew the backdrop pic on an old sheet and I painted it. He also built a couple of simple pirate ships complete with a plank from old packing pallets. The children painted a flag for each team ship they chose (The Bone Raider or The Greedy Wolf) and water balloon bombing fights between the shipmates on each ship contributed to a lot of party fun. As you may imagine, none of the invited pirates wanted to go home! I was Queen of the High Seas for a day ... a bit like the beautiful Rose stamped here!
